Join the free webinar “Linking Water & Health in European Research” on 6 Nov 2025, 15:00–16:45 CET — a cross-project session where SPRINGS, TULIP and sister EU initiatives (BlueAdaptEU, StopUP, ZeroPollution4Water Cluster, D4RUNOFF) map how pollution, climate and land-use pressures shape water quality and public health.
Speakers include Vanessa Harris (SPRINGS), Andrés Madriz Montero, Marina Treskova (TULIP) and other experts who will discuss harmonised monitoring, policy translation and research-to-practice pathways — register to join the live Q&A and cross-project dialogue:
A dialogue on plastic pollution, climate change, and antimicrobial resistance
On 5 June 2024, the TULIP consortium convened a “Research-to-Policy Dialogue” in Heidelberg’s historic Alte Aula. Scientists, NGO leaders, EU-level advisers and Philippine health officials unpacked how microplastic pollution, climate shifts and antibiotic residues intertwine to accelerate antimicrobial resistance in water. Interactive panels mapped regulatory gaps, showcased nature-based interventions and set a joint action agenda—from river-monitoring pilots to evidence briefs for the European Green Deal. The half-day forum closed with networking to spark follow-up collaborations across research, policy and community spheres.
